Who are the Best Available Players for Day 3 in the NFL Draft?
Here’s the top available player heading into to Day 3 of the NFL Draft:
WR Tylan Wallace - Oklahoma State
Wallace could have been a second round pick in this draft and was wildly productive at Oklahoma State. He has more size than most receivers in this draft and could be a steal early in the fourth round.
RB Michael Carter - North Carolina
Carter was just as productive as Javonte Williams, who went early in the second round. He is more of a burner than Williams but much smaller. Still, he should be someone who can contribute right away in the NFL.
LB Jabril Cox - LSU
Mel Kiper’s top available player on the board, the former LSU linebacker should be a starting front 7 defender in the NFL at some point. He provides great value in the fourth round.
LB Chris Rumph - Duke
Rumph was rumored to be flying up draft boards coming into the draft, but that did not come to fruition. I believe he will be off the board early on Saturday.
DT Daviyon Nixon - Iowa
Nixon is one of the best defensive players left on the board and was rumored to be a second or third round pick. Again, good value to be able to get a player of his caliber in the fourth round.
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown - USC
St. Brown was a very productive receiver at USC and one of the top players in the country coming out of high school. As a slot receiver in the NFL, he should be able to thrive. He’s not the fastest slot receiver in the world, but has great hands and can get open.
RB Kenneth Gainwell - Memphis
Gainwell was thought by many to be the fourth or fifth best running back in this class and reminded scouts of Cowboys RB Tony Pollard. He should find a nice landing spot in the fourth round.
