Week 7 Fantasy News and Notes

Injuries

Miles Sanders

Sanders suffered an early ankle sprain in the Eagles loss to the Raiders. He was carted to the locker room and did not return, though initial reports suggest it is not a serious sprain and he should be able to return in a week or two.

Josh Jacobs

Jacobs left the Raiders win with a chest injury right before half. The injury is reportedly not serious and Jacobs should be available when the Raiders return to action in Week 9.

Tyrod Taylor

Taylor looks like he will begin practicing this week and could start in Week 8 against the Rams.

Jonnu Smith

Smith suffered a shoulder injury and did not return for the Patriots. His status is unknown right now.

Zach Wilson

Wilson suffered a PCL injury against the Patriots and will be sidelined 2-4 weeks as he recovers. The Jets traded for Joe Flacco from the Eagles and he will presumably be the starter at some point in the next couple of weeks. Mike White was Wilson’s backup and played in relief of Wilson against New England.

Malcolm Brown

The Dolphins backup RB left the loss to the Falcons with a quad injury and did not return. He is being placed on IR.

Dyami Brown

Brown suffered a knee injury against the Packers and did not return. He is being evaluated, but the thought is it is only a minor injury and he should be back in Week 10.

Davante Adams

Adams has been placed on the COVID-19 Reserve list and will not play on Thursday night against the Cardinals.

Surprising Stars

Tua Tagovailoa

Tua may have thrown two horrendous interceptions, but he also had 291 yards passing and four touchdowns.

D’Ernest Johnson

Johnson had a massive day in relief of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. He racked up 146 rushing yards and 22 receiving yards against the Broncos on Thursday night.

CJ Uzomah

3 catches, 91 yards, 2 touchdowns. Not bad for a streaming tight end. Uzomah has been hot of late.

Brandon Bolden

Bolden got a lot of work for the Patriots and filled a little bit of the James White role. He had 6 catches for 79 yards and a TD out of the backfield.

Kalif Raymond

Raymond had 8 targets, 6 receptions and 115 yards receiving versus the Rams. He may be one to pickup up given that the Lions have no depth at receiver.

Confusing Usage

Mike Davis

Davis only had 4 carries for 10 yards against the Dolphins. Davis is clearly the second option out of the Falcons backfield.

Justin Fields

The usage wasn’t confusing, but it sure was ugly. 5 turnovers. The Bears offensive line is doing the young gun no favors. It is ugly in Chicago right now.

Brandon Aiyuk

Well, he’s back. It’s ugly out here for the rookie breakout star. 1 ruching attempt, 1 target. Aiyuk is barely worth rostering at this point.

Allen Robinson

The Bears. It’s not good. Robinson has been one of the biggest busts in fantasy this season and I’m not sure any of it is his fault.
