Thursday Night Football Preview Jaguars vs. Bengals

Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (2-1)

Line: Bengals -7.5

Total: Over/Under 46

Moneyline: Bengals -340

On a short week, coming off of an enormous win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bengals welcome in the winless Jaguars in a matchup of the last two No. 1 overall picks. This is not the first time Burrow and Lawrence have met. Burrow got Round 1 and looks to be in prime position to take Round 2 as well.

The Bengals have done some nice things offensively and both Joe Mixon and Ja’Marr Chase have been excellent thus far in fantasy. However, the Bengals will be without Tee Higgins once again on Thursday night. For Cincinnati it has been their defense that has looked much improved, though the Steelers and Bears’ offenses aren’t anything to write home about.

Situationally, I would expect this to be a potential let down spot for the Bengals, especially after a monster win over the Steelers. The Jags just dropped their third straight, this time after holding a 19-10 lead late into the game against Arizona.

The Jaguars have done some nice things offensively at times, but are prone to making big mistakes. Their defense is still a wreck and the Bengals should be able to capitalize even if they’re not at their best.

Ultimately, I think the Jags will surprise and keep this game close late into the 4th quarter. I would bet on the Jags at anything +7.5 or higher and I also like the over.

Prediction: Bengals 26 - Jaguars 23
