Ravens lose RB Gus Edwards to ACL tear

Baltimore has improbably lost yet another running back. This time it’s starter Gus Edwards, who left practice on Thursday after suffering a torn ACL. He will miss the entire 2021 NFL season.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport first broke the news:

The Ravens are now down their three top running backs from the start of the offseason: J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Justice Hill. All three suffered season ending injuries during camp.

Now Baltimore is set to start Ty’Son Williams at running back. He should be the top priority add in all fantasy leagues. Additionally, the team signed Le’Veon Bell earlier this week and he figures to have a big role in this offense now as well.

Look out for the Ravens to bring in another veteran running back, potentially Adrian Peterson or Latavius Murray. If Murray is the back they bring in he would also be a top priority add for me.

It is also worth noting the Ravens also lost CB Marcus Peters to a torn ACL in the same practice on Tuesday. The hits keep coming in Baltimore.
