Buy or Sell Week 8

Welcome to Week 8! Today, we are going through our post Byepocalypse rosters and seeing where we can gain some value heading into the crucial part of the season where teams begin to separate themselves from the pack. Hopefully, you are in a decent position, and if not, we can try to get you there! Let’s look at some buys and sells for week 8!

Michael Carter, RB, Jets

Carter set season highs in routes run, snaps, targets, and receptions last week. Carter should be handed the reins to the offense at this point, but Tevin Coleman is still hanging around to hurt his value.  Despite that, starting RB is in increasingly short supply in fantasy, so Carter is absolutely worth the add.

Darrell Henderson, RB, Rams

Henderson was anticipated to have a big week this week. He has a subpar performance against a Lions team that isn’t good. That performance should make some people nervous, and you should use that to your advantage. His utilization remains high, and that is enough to make him a valuable asset to your team.

D.J. Moore, WR, Panthers

Moore has not had a great couple of weeks. The sudden regression of Sam Darnold has bogged down the entire offense. Moore is still getting the work, it just isn’t translating into fantasy points. Use that to try to make a deal for Moore while his price is low, as he should rebound with easier matchups ahead.

Dallas Goedert, TE, PHI

Goedert’s first game in the post Zach Ertz era was solid, totaling 70 yards on 3 catches. He is becoming a key part of the offense, as solid pass catchers are hard to come by in Philly. Goedert will have the target share to be a viable TE1 candidate for the rest of the year. Buy in on him before it’s too late.

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Dolphins

Tagovailoa has looked good, finishing as QB10 and QB1 in fantasy football the past two weeks. Trade him immediately, as he has a tough schedule coming up, and he won’t be able to sustain that level of play.

Antonio Gibson, RB, WAS

Gibson is playing a weekly game of will he or won’t he with his injured shin, and JD McKissic has begun to out snap him as a result. It doesn’t seem like a good situation in which to trust him down the stretch. Take advantage of his name value, and see if you can get something in return for him.

Cordarrelle Patterson, RB/WR, Falcons

Patterson has slowed down after his fantastic start to the season. He was never going to sustain that level of production, and now that the Falcons offense is getting healthier, he hasn’t. He is still a valuable piece in fantasy so see if you can deal him off his hot start for an under-appreciated stud asset.

Tyler Boyd, WR, CIN

Boyd has seen a total of 28 targets in five games with Tee Higgins back from injury.  This does not bode well for him to be a factor down the road this season. When all three receivers are healthy, Boyd is the odd man out. Look for someone such as Nico Collins, and see if you can deal Boyd for that kind of value.
